JOHN HURLEY. Mr. Hurley is a Farmer, Sec. 20, Havana Twp, and is a native of Ocean Co., N. J., born May 24, 1824. He came to Mason Co. first in 1842, but took up his residence here in 1843. During the troubles in Kansas in 1856 he participated in a war in that state. Was married in 1847 to Miss Julia A. Baldwin, and in 1889 to Mrs. Mary Hogan. Built the first house in north part of county. P. O. Havana.
